Recently, I saw in a vision, a sword just laying on the ground and I heard the Lord say: “Many of my children have laid down their swords.  It is time to take it back up.”

Immediately, I took up the sword as a prophetic act and held it up towards heaven, stating that I am taking up the sword, and I am moving in the authority given to me by Jesus and I am declaring the word of the Lord over situations as the Holy Spirit leads.”

This all happened right after I returned from North Africa, where one of my mandates was to declare and prophecy for the dry bones to come alive!  This assignment has passed and now it was time to go forward and continue to move in the authority that was given to me by the Lord.

Many of His children have laid down their swords!  What does that mean to you?  For some, it could be they are not taking their rightful position in the body of Christ and in His kingdom.

After praying about this vision, I heard: ” “the sword of the Lord and of Gideon.”  (Judges 7:20)  I looked up the scripture and realized, how Gideon was called by God and the angel, who visited him in the winepress called him: “Mighty man of Valor”. Gideon had a hard time believing that he was a mighty man of valor.  Soon, he saw God’s mighty power working through just a few, only 300 of Gideon’s army, who were fearless and courageous.  Gideon heard someone tell a dream and in this dream, he knew God was on his side and that they would overcome the enemy.  Strategies where given to him and as they followed those directions, the enemy was defeated.

Another scripture came to mind and it is in the book of Nehemiah.  Nehemiah was called to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, which was not a light task.  But he had a passion in his heart and he was weeping over the gross situation in Jerusalem.  Nehemiah was given a mandate and he was using God’s strategy. He sensed every plot of the enemy and was not deterred from following through with the Lord’s mandate.  The attacks of the enemy kept coming with distractions, fear, intimidation, doubt,  ridicule, confusion, scheming and conspiracy.

TAKE UP YOUR SWORD    ***Some who are reading this, know this is for them and they know exactly what I am saying.  It is time to take up your sword and use the authority given to you again. Speak the Word of God and declare His purposes with laser-like precision.

At one point, the people who helped Nehemiah rebuilding the wall had to have a sword in one hand and worked with the other hand. This was with much determination and being intentional about what was at hand.  To be intentional about what is given to us, is a mighty weapon in our arsenal. Do not give up, be vigilant and watchful instead.  Realizing that the enemy roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.  He comes to kill, steal and destroy, but Jesus Christ came to give us live and live more abundantly. (see John 10:10).  Therefore, lift up your sword and move forward in the power of His might, clothed in the full armor of God, withstanding the fiery darts of the enemy.  Keep living the elevated life in Jesus Christ.  In Him we live and move and have our being.  He is the wall of fire around us and the glory in the midst of us.  Truly believing that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus even now and every declaration, every prayer and intercession is done out of this place of authority in Him and the awareness that we can sit at the Father’s table in the midst of our enemy.  He prepares a table filled with goodness and our cup is overflowing as He anoints us with fresh oil.  Receive the fresh oil and receive the overflow.  Allow yourself to minister out of this overflow and see the captives go free, bondages are broken because of the power that is in the blood of Jesus.

What the Lord has given you to do in this hour, is not a small thing, but of great significance.  Fearlessness, determination and following through with what is given to us will cause our spiritual muscles to develop and we can exercise our senses to discern good from evil.

Apostle Paul spoke about running the race with endurance and not boxing the air aimlessly.  In Ephesians 5, we are exhorted to walk circumspectly knowing the will of the Father and therefore redeeming the time for the days are evil.

I pray for a fresh revelation on taking up the sword and what this entails for each one reading this exhortation. We need to seek the Lord in His glory, and exercise the authority given to us from the fact, that we are being seated in Him in heavenly places.  My sheep hear My voice said the Lord as we hear Him speaking to us.  In His manifest presence, we can hear the words that He speaks to us with a revelation attached to it, then we can use those words of life, light, and power to declare and degree.  May God teach us to pray, to wait and to seek Him, that He can speak the words of light and life into our spirits, that we can also cry out on the battlefield, “the sword of the LORD and of Gideon” and accomplish His will and His plan in our lives and the lives of others around us. Therefore, take up your sword and learn how to wield it skillfully.  Listen to the Lord and His direction and follow His lead.  Know Him intimately, know yourself all wrapped up in Him and know your enemy.  It is important in this hour not to be ignorant of satan’s devices.

The New Jewish Year has been branded the year of “THE RULING SWORD”. It is made up of the number 5 for grace and 3 times the 7, which stands for the complete number of God.  It is also a fiery sword and as the Bible explains, that His Word is a two edged sword:

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Let’s get into the Word of God with a renewed passion and ask the Holy Spirit, to reveal mysteries to us, hidden in Christ Jesus.  As we are filled with His precious, powerful Word, and as we speak it forth, we are able to reap the harvest and see multitudes coming to Christ.  The Word of God will bring us into divine alignment revealing God’s purpose in our lives.

Ephesians 1: 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The  word glory is found throughout the Bible and can be used in various ways.  One of those is to describe God’s manifested and tangible presence in our midst.  This explanation is what I like to focus on today.

Moses encountered God’s glory when he stood before the burning bush in Exodus 3:1-6. God told him,

Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.”
(Exodus 3:5 NKJV)

At the Day of Pentecost, those who were united in the upper room waiting, heard the sound of His glory as the Holy Spirit was poured out upon them.  Acts 2:2-3 NKJV

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

They were able to HEAR the sound from heaven and SEE the divided tongues of fire. Their physical senses were impacted.
Hearing, Seeing, Touching, Smelling and Tasting

The glory of God was manifested when Jesus performed miracles, signs and wonders. The glory of God came to earth as it is in heaven.  Heaven invading earth and bringing the atmosphere and tangible presence of God.

People long to be touched by God in a tangible way.  Lord, my prayer is that everywhere we go, the glory and manifest presence of God would be with us and people would be touched and experience your love in a real way!

At a wedding, when Jesus turned water into wine during His first miracle,
His glory was manifested!

John 2:11 NKJV This is beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

Now many of you have known this and studied it, yet it is important to revisit those truths.  These accounts of the Bible will stir up faith and wet ones appetite to stretch out and belief for more.  The Bible tells us in Luke 10:2

The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
1 Corinthians 2:4

In the past years, I have feasted on this scripture much and my heart-felt prayer has been for this kind of manifestation while I am preaching.  Not for my glory, but God’s glory!  In John 15:16, it states that we did not chose Him, but He has chosen us, to go forth and bear everlasting fruit for the glory of God…

John 15:7,8 Amplified Bible

If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.

When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.

His manifested glory is seen in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power. When people are touched and are able to engage with His presence, and they sense His love:

When people are healed of all manner of illnesses and iniquity:

When people taste and see that He is good:

When people are set free from burdens

When people receive salvation

When people are delivered from darkness and translated into His glorious light

When people receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them

(you may like to add your own version of it…)

How do you impact a nation with the Good News?  If you are called to a nation hostile toward Christianity, where would you start?

Everything impossible for men becomes possible with God!

My main focus in intercession for the nations has been for a Great Awakening to explode and cause many to come alive to Jesus Christ!  This is one of the reasons I go to the nations, the Lord sends me.  Before I even consider making travel arrangements, I go before the Father in intercession and access His glory realm as I boldly come before the Throne room of grace and go through the open door in heaven (see Revelations 4), because I know He will reveal to me what I need to know and therefore, I will receive exact details on how to intercede and how to proceed with this mandate.

As the Father’s perfect will is unfolded before me, I agree with Him and therefore I can walk out His purposes.  Remembering that I am only one piece in His puzzle (His body) keeps me looking around for where and with whom I need to be fitly joined for this endeavor.

In Ephesians 4, the five fold gifts to the body are outlined as Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists and Teacher, who are to equip and train the body to do the work of the ministry.  As a five fold minister, I know I need to equip and train, but also activate and release the saints to step into and function in their part of the puzzle (His body).

The saints are called to be Ambassadors for Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:20) revealing God’s kingdom and God’s glory wherever they go.

We intercede for God’s kingdom to be advanced and for the knowledge of His glory to be seen all over the earth.  When you encounter the Lord’s glory and majesty, even as Isaiah did in Isaiah 6, you can never be the same again.  Of course, it is important to pray for yourself and everything that pertains to it, but this will never be your main focus again when you have encountered and seen HIM, because your heart is filled with the desire to do His will and to bring glory and honor to HIM!

It is my burning desire to fulfill my part so that Jesus will receive His reward, and this is what keeps me going, to see the nations come to Jesus Christ, and for the kings and leaders of a nation to bow their knees to the KING of kings and the Lord of lords!

Join me in intercession:

May the kings and leaders of nations have a revelation of who Jesus Christ truly is and bow their knees to Him.  May they have an encounter like Isaiah did (Isaiah 6), when he saw in the year when King Uzziah died, the Lord high and lifted up seated on a throne and the train of His robe filled the temple. He saw the seraphim who cried: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!  And just as Isaiah they will recognize their need to be cleansed, they will fall prostrate before the Lord and receive His salvation and purification by the blood of Jesus. Lord, baptize them with the Holy Spirit and fire and let them ask for Your will and purposes.  May they understand that they are chosen by God and are key people to influence the entire nation for the glory of God! May they be filled with a passion for the things of God.  Hallelujah!
